Problem Note 33694: Installing a hot fix might remove the default path !SASROOT/sasexe from the sasv9.cfg file
If you apply a hot fix to a SAS® installation that includes Scalable Performance Data
Server (SPDS), the
!SASROOT/sasexe path might be removed from the sasv9.cfg file.
This could also happen with a SAS installation that does not contain
SPDS if your sasv9.cfg file contains a -PATH option preceding this line in the file:
-path !SASROOT/sasexe
and if that -PATH option points to a path other than the hot fix path.
The following errors appear when you attempt to start a SAS process:
ERROR: BRIDGE FAILURE CALLING .
ERROR: UNABLE TO LOAD saswzx FOR SUBSYSTEM 2.
To circumvent, edit the sasv9.cfg file and add the line:
-path !SASROOT/sasexe
immediately after the line:
-path !SASROOT/hotfix/sasexe
